The extracted ground- <br /> water will be treated on site prior to discharge, if necessary. <br /> Prior to the preparation and submission of a Final Remedial <br /> Plan (FRP) , several steps will be taken. To assure proper system <br /> design, installation, and performance, additional data will be <br /> collected and field work performed. Data gathered during this <br /> phase could also be useful if a scientifically based health-risk <br /> assessment is performed to establish final cleanup criteria that <br /> will safeguard the public health and welfare. All work will be <br /> -. performed in accordance with applicable regulations and guide- <br /> lines. <br /> Interim work steps that will be accomplished while the FRP <br /> is being prepared include: <br /> 1. Salvaging MW-9 and collecting and analyzing groundwater <br /> samples from the well to define the northeastward <br /> extent of the dissolved hydrocarbon plume <br /> 2. Measuring groundwater elevations monthly in all site <br /> wells <br /> 3. Quarterly sampling and analyses of groundwater from one <br /> of MW-1 through MW-4, and from all other monitoring <br /> wells at the site (excluding those containing any SPF) <br /> 4. Removing any accumulated sPP by periodic bailing <br /> 5. Performing soil-vapor extraction tests <br /> 6.
