P <br /> r - <br /> Golden Grain Company <br /> ,dune 2, 1989 <br /> 202/799-5045.01 <br /> 4.5 HYDROGEOLOGYC PARAMETER INVESTIGATION <br /> Upon completion of the well installations and sampling, the <br /> h following work steps will be conducted to determine the site <br /> hydrogeologic conditions: <br /> 1) Monitor water levels in all wells associated with the <br /> site. <br /> 2) Conduct one baildown test to define aquifer parameters. <br /> After the wellheads have been surveyed, water-level measure- <br /> ments will be collected in all wells to allow calculation of <br /> water elevations, Groundwater contour maps will then be con- <br /> structed to show the groundwater flow direction and gradient. <br /> Additionally, comparison of the water elevations in adjacent <br /> wells that are screened through different depths (the shallow <br /> wells versus the deep well) will be used to determine if vertical <br /> gradients exist. <br /> The baildown test will be performed by removing a known <br /> volume of water and monitoring groundwater elevations versus time <br /> with a pressure transducer probe as the system re-attains <br /> equilibrium. The data will then be analyzed to calculate the <br /> aquifer parameters. <br /> 5.0 PROBLEM ASSESSMENT REPORT <br /> At the conclusion of the field work described above, a <br /> Problem Assessment Report (PAR) will be compiled, presenting all <br /> information..gathered .about....the.site....._The PAR will include <br /> v. 11 <br /> - GROUNDWATER <br /> _- TECHNOLOGY.LNC. <br />
