The Permi tee shall ensure proper operation of all monitoring and recording devices <br />by perfo ing inspection, maintenance, and calibration procedures according to <br />manufactu er's specifications. <br />3. The Permi tee shall ensure that charts generated from the oscilloscope indicate <br />accurate d tes and times and has an appropriate scale to determine compliance with <br />permit lim ts. <br />4. Upon request of the Department, the Permittee shall perform sampling and analysis <br />of the LX 14 waste and the exhaust emissions to verify that the operating <br />requireme is established in this permit achieve the emission standards. <br />5. At least o <br />ce every five (5) years, the Permittee shall perform the following: <br />a. Mea <br />ure the shell thickness of the vessel to ensure that it is no less than one <br />inch <br />and <br />b. Con <br />uct non-destructive testing of the vessel and submit a certification signed <br />by a <br />independent, qualified professional engineer, registered in California, <br />that <br />he vessel has sufficient structural strength to prevent failure. The <br />certification <br />shall be submitted within thirty (30) days of the test and also <br />con <br />in the language specified in title 22, Cal. Code Regs., section <br />667 <br />0.11(d). <br />H. EquipmenLMa <br />1. Rsepairs all be performed on the vessel or its ancillary equipment as needed. If <br />the repais were extensive (e.g., installation of an internal liner, repair of a ruptured <br />vessel), t e CVD unit shall not be returned to service unless the Permittee has <br />obtained certification by an independent, qualified, professional engineer, <br />registere in California, in accordance with title 22, Cal. Code Regs., section <br />66270.11(d), stating that the repaired system meets the design standards contained <br />in Sectio IV.B, pp. IV -7 to IV -17, of the Part B application. This certification <br />shall be ubmitted to the Department within seven days after returning the CVD to <br />use. <br />2. Code Regs., section <br />(a). The Permittee shall update the information contained in the Part B <br />n related to any new equipment and provide a written assessment, <br />and certified by an independent, qualified professional engineer, <br />in California, in accordance with title 22, Cal. Code Regs, section <br />i(d), certifying that the new component is adequately designed and is <br />ile with the waste to be treated. <br />14 <br />
