During the construction of
monitoring wells 14 (MW-1 - MW-4) in 1995, soil samples were collected but MME
analysis was not required. In October, 1997 MW-5, MW-6 and MW-7 were constructed
and soil samples were collected. These soil samples were analyzed for the presence of
MTBE. The results were ND. MTBE testing in groundwater samples began in June,
1996 and the results from the groundwater sampling events were ND (none detected) until
November, 1997. The concentrations of MME in the groundwater have been increasing
over the past 2 years and has spread to at least six of the seven wells (NfW-2 was not
sampled) located on the subject property(Table B and Figure 4).
Table B: Tabular Sununary of Historical MME Analytical Data
MTBE 6-28-96 4-5-97 6-11-97 11-5-97 4-7-98 9-30-98 6-30-99 9-10-99
Well U ug/E uglE ygLL U U U
..........
........... .
...........
..........
..........-
:22
--..... . .....
ND
ND ND
MW-1 ND
..............
MW-3 ND VND ND ND ND ND9,6
MW-4 ND ND ND ND ND ND
....... ...
MW-5 N/A N/A N/A ND
P
...........
X
Nff-6 N/A N/A N/A Ism ND 725,`
.......
N/A N/A N/A ND 10 NIA
The underground storage tanks (UST's) present on the subject property were removed in
1986 and 1988.
