i
' 24 January 2006
AGE-NC-99-0570
' 3.0. FINDINGS
Ground water elevation, flow direction, and gradient were determined from field data collected on
' '28'July 2005 Hydrocarbon impact to groundwater was assessed by laboratory analysis of the ground
water samples
' 3 1 GROUND WATER ELEVATION AND GRADIENT
' The depth to ground water ranged from 13 14 feet below the top of the well casing(btoc) in MW-3
to 14 50 feet btoc in MW-5 The relative ground water elevation ranged from 7 41 feet below mean
seal level(MSL)in MW-3 to 10 18 feet below MSL in MW-5 During this monitoring event, the top
of the ground water table occurred within the screened intervals of the wells
Ground water was inferred to be flowing north-northwest under a significant hydraulic gradient of
' approximately 0 027 foot/foot(ft/ft) The ground water elevation contours are depicted on Figure 3
• 3 2 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
' TPH-g was detected in samples MW-1, MW-2 and MW-5 at concentrations of 5,400 micrograms
per liter(gg/1), 1,700 µg/1 and 200 µg/1,respectively TPH-d was not detected in any of the samples
analyzed
' BTEX compounds were detected in wells MW-1,MW-2 and MW-3 at maximum concentrations of
39 gg/1 benzene(MW-1), 6 0 µg/l toluene (MW-2), 460 µg/l ethylbenzene (MW-1)and 1,155 µg/1
xylenes (MW-1)
MTBE was detected in wells MW-1, MW-2 and MW-3 at concentrations of 59 µg/l, 3 7µg/I and
6 0 gg/l, respectively
No other target analytes were detected at or above laboratory reporting limits in any of the samples
analyzed Laboratory results of ground water samples are summarized in Table 2 The laboratory
report(CTEL Project No CT214-0507191),quality assurance/quality control(QA/QC)reports,and
chain of custody form are included in Appendix D Documents confirming the upload of laboratory
Ielectronic deliverable format (EDF) files and depth to water measurements to GeoTracker are
included in Appendix E
IAdvanced GeoEnvironmentel,Inc
