March 26, 2001 <br />' NOA Environmental Project Number LE00-429 <br /> Page 4 <br /> • <br /> The SJEHD records show Delta Pallet removed two underground diesel storage tanks (10,000 <br /> gallons/6,000 gallons) from the northwest corner of the property in November, 1987 A January <br /> 1994 site closure evaluation report by SJEHD found lab reports from soil analyses showed <br /> concentrations of TPH(diesel)and BTEX as non-detectable The laboratory detection hmit for diesel <br /> was 10 PPM and for BTEX was 0 2 PPM The staff at SJEHD stated the"detection limits too high <br />' for BTEX, shallow groundwater" According to Doug Wilson of SJEHD, as of January 2001, this <br /> case has not been closed <br /> U. DESCRIPTION OF TOPOGRAPHY AND SURFACE FEATURES, I.E. <br /> WATERCOURSES LAKES AND GROUNDWATER RECHARGE FACILITIES <br />' Local Site Conditions <br /> The USGS Topographic maps of the subject property were reviewed at the Stockton Public Library <br /> and the Halt-Atherton Library at the University of the Pacific(both in Stockton, California) A map <br /> of the Stockton West quadrangle published in 1952 was reviewed as well as an edition of the 1968 <br /> map photorevised m 1987 A map ofthe Stockton Quadrangle published in December 1913 was also <br /> reviewed These maps show the surrounding area has been slowly growing in industrial use from <br /> 1952 to 1987 with the exception of a residential area to the east which has been established since at <br /> Nleast 1952 The site and surrounding environs are depicted as relatively flat <br /> Aerial photographs of the subject property were supplied from various sources by Environmental <br /> Data Resources, Inc for the years 1957, 1970, 1982 and 1994 The scales of the photos reviewed <br /> are approximately 1 7,000 The subject property appears to have been used for vehicle storage from <br /> 1957 to 1994 with the exception of 1970 when a central building existed but, few vehicles were <br />' apparent Across the railroad tracks to the east has been residential from 1957 to 1994 Property to <br /> the south appears to have been cultivated for crops from 1957 to 1970, then used for equipment <br /> storage from 1982 to 1994 The properties to the west and north have been occupied by industrial <br />' looking buildings from 1957 to 1994 <br /> 1 <br /> (The remainder of this page intentionally left blank) <br /> 1 <br /> ?pSC <br /> 1 <br /> S • <br /> O � <br /> *s S O LSF <br />
