INTRODUCTION <br />' NOA Environmental completed a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment of the subject property on <br /> February 15, 2001 During the course of this investigation,it was discovered that two underground <br /> storage tanks had been removed from the property in November of 1987 A No Further Action <br />' statement had not been issued, and the UST case remains open The following document has been <br /> prepared by NOA Environmental at the request of Holt of California to satisfy the requirements for <br /> the issuance of a No Further Action statement <br /> H. LIMITATIONS <br /> This report contains information and data provided to NOA Environmental by several sources NOA <br /> Environmental in no way warrants the accuracy or completeness of the information provided to this <br />' investigation by those sources All sources are indicated where applicable This report deals only <br /> with the location of the two former USTs, and no findings reported here should be interpreted as <br /> relating to the entirety of the Holt property <br />' M. GENERAL INFORMATION <br /> The facility from which the two underground storage tanks were removed is identified as 1624 West <br /> Navy Drive, Stockton, California The owner of the tanks at the time of their removal was Delta <br /> Pallet Service, 1624 Navy Drive, Stockton, California <br /> The subject property has been variously used over the years by several trucking companies and by <br /> Delta Pallet Company At the time that NOA sampled the area in question,the site was occupied by <br />' D O N Investments, a trucking company under a rental agreement with Holt of California Holt of <br /> California, the current owner of the subject property, can be reached in care of Mr Dan LaTour, <br /> corporate Loss Prevention Manager, at P O Box X, Sacramento, Califorrua 95813 <br />' Information relating to the location of the subject property can be found in Appendix A Figure I <br /> shows the location ofthe site relative to nearby streets and highways,the property is located on Navy <br /> Drive between South Fresno Avenue and Interstate 5 This industrial area is about one-half mile <br /> southeast of the Port of Stockton complex As can be seen in Figure 2, the parcel has a frontage <br /> width on Navy Drive of about 400 feet and is about 500 feet deep with access off Navy Drive A <br /> railroad right-of-way borders the west and east sides of the parcel <br /> IV. SITE AND TANK HISTORY <br /> NOA first became aware of the Holt Property UST file in 2000 while conducting a Phase I <br /> Environmental Site Assessment Due to the lack of historical knowledge about the site,NOA has not <br /> . been able to determine the age or condition of the tanks at the time of their removal NOA has <br />' 4 <br />
