October 4,2002 <br /> NOA ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECT NUMBER: LE00-429 <br /> ' flooding, which occurs during years of abnormally high precipitation <br /> ' Urban land consists of areas covered by roads, driveways, sidewalks,parking lots, <br /> buildings, and other structures The soil material under the impervious surface is <br /> similar to that of Jacktone clay <br /> ' Where Jacktone soil is usedfor urban development the main limitations are thehigh <br /> shrinkage potential, the slow permeability, depth to the hardpan, and low strength <br /> ' The rare flooding is a hazard Property designed foundations and footings and <br /> diverting runoff away from buildings help to prevent the structural damage caused <br /> by shrinking and swelling " <br /> On January y12 2001 Neil O Anderson & Associates ates conducted a geotechnical investigation of the <br /> ' subject property and found the foregoing soils desenption to be a fair representation of soils sampled <br /> on the subject property <br />' General Groundwater Conditions <br /> Groundwater is listed by the San Joaquin Flood Control and Water Conservation District at <br /> approximately 15 feet below ground surface The SJFCWCD Groundwater Elevation map from <br /> 10 spring of 1999 is included in Appendix A <br /> Local Agency Inquiries <br /> 1 San Joaquin County Office of Emergency Services <br /> 1 Inquiries were made with the San Joaquin County OES to determine whether spills,releases, or any <br /> other incidents involving the former USTs at the subject property were on file No files were <br />' available regarding the subject property as occupied by DON Investments <br /> 2 San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division <br />' SJEHD was contacted to determine whether spills, releases or any other incidents involving the <br /> former USTs at the subject property were on file Pertinent information from these files is <br /> summarized in Section IV,above,a copy of the onginal document can be found in Appendix C The <br /> San Joaquin County Underground Tank Site List(July,2000)and additional sites listed by EDR were <br />' searched, but no new pertinent information was discovered <br /> 8 <br />
