ENVIRONMENTAL <br /> CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> To perform this investigation, the.Client will be responsible for the following: <br /> C Providing adequate access and working space. Thorne Environmental <br /> will attempt to advance soil borings at the proposed locations. If the <br /> drilling equipment can not be positioned, alternative drilling locations <br /> will be investigated. <br /> o Locating all underground utilities and other subsurface structures that <br /> could interfere with drilling operations or be damaged during drilling. <br /> Failure to locate such lines or structures, and responsibility for any <br /> necessary corrective action or resulting damage will be the <br /> responsibility of the Client. Underground Service Alert (USA) <br /> (800)642-2444 provides this service free of charge for major utility <br /> lines. Thorne Environmental can make contact with USA for a site <br /> visit. <br /> o Disposing of soil generated during the advancing of the soil borings. <br /> Thorne Environmental will containerize the soil cuttings in <br /> appropriate 55 gallon drums. <br /> LIMITATIONS <br /> This proposal was prepared and is based upon information supplied to Thorne <br /> Environmental by Silgan Container Corporation for a Site Characterization. It is Thorne <br /> Environmental's understanding that this is the scope of services the Silgan Container <br /> Corporation is requesting. <br /> This proposal does not include the following: <br /> o Transportation or disposal of any impacted soil; <br /> o Removal or disposal of impacted groundwater <br /> U Remediation of any impacted soil or groundwater. <br /> COST ESTIMATE <br /> Phase I - Workplan Preparation <br /> A.
