Weber Avenue, Third Floor <br /> Stockton, CA 95202-2708 <br /> RE: Report on Former Diesel Tank Removal Soil and Pit Water Sampling—Nelson <br /> Ready Mix, 2059 Navy Drive, Stockton, California. <br /> I� <br /> Dear Mr. Knoll; <br /> This report on soil and pit water sampling at the site of an earlier diesel tank removal at <br /> Nelson Ready Mix, located at 2059 Navy Drive in Stockton, California is submitted on <br /> behalf of L&B Environmental, Inc. <br /> Figure 1 identifies the soil and pit water sample locations and summarizes the analytical <br /> results from samples collected February 20, 2004. <br /> All four soil samples were from about 6.5 feet below general grade, immediately above <br /> the surface of the water in the excavation and the pit water were analyzed by U.S. EPA <br /> Method 8260B for the aromatic hydrocarbons (benzene,toluene, ethylbenzene, and total <br /> xylene isomers)>None were not detected in any sample. <br /> Total Extractable Petroleum Hydrocarbons in the diesel range (TEPH-diesel) by U.S. <br /> EPA Method 8015M was also reported as "N.D."at<1.0 mg/Kg in soil samples from the <br /> north and west excavation walls. The north wall sample was reported with 7.7 mg/Kg and <br /> the south wall, at the southwest corner, was reported with 39 mg/Kg. The pit water <br /> sample was reported with 900 µg/L. <br /> Copies of the laboratory analytical report and chain-of-custody documentation for the <br /> sidewall samples are included in Attachment A and for the pit water sample im <br /> Attachment B. <br /> P.
