CALIFORNIA REGIONAL WATER QUALITY CONTROL BOARD <br /> CENTRAL VALLEY REGION <br /> MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM NO. 93-806 <br /> FOR <br /> SANTA FE PACIFIC PIPELINE PARTNERS <br /> STOCKTON TERMINAL, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> Specific sample station locations are established under direction of the Board's staff. <br /> Prior to construction, plans and specifications for ground water monitoring and/or extraction <br /> wells shall be submitted to Board staff for review and approval. After construction, new <br /> wells are to be sampled and analyzed for the constituents below and added to the monitoring <br /> program. <br /> GROUND WATER MONITORING <br /> There are six monitoring wells onsite as shown in Figure 1. Monitoring wells with free <br /> phase petroleum product or visible sheen shall be monitored for product thickness and depth <br /> to ground water only. The ground water monitoring program for the six monitoring wells <br /> and any additional wells installed subsequently except for wells containing free phase <br /> petroleum product or visible sheen, shall include the following: <br /> Sampling <br /> Constituents Units Type of Sample Frequency <br /> Depth to ground Feet ---- Monthly <br /> water <br /> Benzene g g/I Grab Quarterly <br /> Toluene g g/1 Grab Quarterly <br /> Ethylbenzene jug/1 Grab Quarterly <br /> Xylene g g/I Grab Quarterly <br /> TPH as diesel g g/I Grab Quarterly <br /> TPH as gasoline 14g/1 Grab Quarterly <br /> Total Lead' gg/1 Grab Quarterly <br /> From wells which have not been monitored for total lead. If total lead is detected, <br /> the Discharger shall perform verification sampling within 30 days of submittal of <br /> the monitoring report. If the presence of total lead is not confirmed, no further test <br /> is required. If pollution is verified, the Discharger shall continue monitoring for <br /> total lead quarterly. <br />
