(SFPPL)
Stockton Terminal site. In that meeting, we discussed the Regional Water
Quality Control Board - Central Valley Region (RWQCB) review comments
dated June 26, 1992 on the Work Plan and arrived at the following
conclusions.
Well Abandonment
The abandonment of existing monitoring well M-2 will be accomplished in
accordance with requirements set forth by the California Department of
Water Resources and the San Joaquin County Public Health Services
Department.
Soil Sampling Intervals
A soil sampling interval of three feet will provide sufficient information for
geologic logging and will be acceptable to the RWQCB.
Number of Samples Submitted for Analysis
Three soil samples per boring will be submitted for chemical analysis. The
soil samples will be obtained from the unsaturated zone above the
groundwater, the water table, and the saturated column near the bottom of
the boring. Our rationale for these sampling locations is as follows.
Seattle • Tacoma • Richland • Anchorage • Portland • San Francisco • Long Beach
