The
Status Report discusses the results of the bench-scale microcosm study and monitoring results after one
month of the nutrient application pilot study. Comments on the Status Report were provided and
responded to in emails between me and Mr. Scott Armstrong of LFR on 19 November 2003. The
Annual Report discusses the groundwater sampling conducted in November and groundwater trends in
2003. We have no comments on the Annual Report.
The Well Installation Report provides soil and grab groundwater results from the two newly installed
monitoring results. The results are odd because SP/M-9 has low detections in soil but elevated
detections in groundwater, and the opposite is true of SP/M-10. The Well Installation Report does not
discuss the unusual results. KMEP needs to continue evaluating these wells to provide a discussion of
the unusual results.
The pilot study evaluation report is due by 31 May 2004. The next semi-annual monitoring report is due
by 1 August 2004.
