Mr. Robert Tweidt • - 2 - 21 April 2003
We have the following comments on the Release Report:
1. The orientation of the figures in the Release Report were confusing. The orientation
changed from the north arrow facing to the left of the page on one figure to right of the
page on the next figure. The figures did not contain consistent landmarks so the reviewer
could orientate sampling locations. Based on the figures provided, it is unclear where the
samples were collected in regards to the manifold area and existing well locations.
2. The Release Report states that petroleum was released in the manifold area but does not
discuss the type of petroleum. KMEP needs to evaluate the content of the petroleum
released to better assess feasible options for remedial activities.
By 30 May 2003,please submit a work plan that proposes additional monitoring wells and
remedial activities to address site pollution, including the manifold area, as discussed in the 20
March meeting. If you have any questions, you may contact me at (916)255-3119 or by email at
lew1isnd(aa)rb,5s.swrc`b.ccaa.gov.
DEVRA LEWIS
Environmental Scientist
cc: Ms. Margaret Lagorio, San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department, Stockton
Mr. Scott Armstrong, LFR Levine-Fricke, Granite Bay
