The letter
contains comments on the draft monitoring and reporting program (MRP), which we sent on
19 December 2000. LFR.proposes that monitoring wells with free-phase product be sampled if needed,
that EPA Method 8260B be used to analyze benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes, and that
reporting dates for the semi-annual monitoring be changed.
We concur with the LFR's suggested changes with one exception. Semi-annual groundwater monitoring
reports will continue to be due each year on 30 April and 30 October because semi-annual sampling is to be
conducted during the first(January, February, or March) and third (July, August, or September) quarters.
Enclosed is the final MRP No. 5-01-821, which should be implemented at the site during the third
quarter 2001.
