GROUNDWATER ORIGINAL <br /> L-EID TECHNOLOGY <br /> Groundwater Technology,Inc <br /> September 23, 1994 275 East South Temple,Suite 321,Salt Lake City,UT 84111 <br /> Tel (801)532-1003 Fax (801)532-1056 <br /> Harlin Knoll <br /> San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> 445 North San Joaquin Street <br /> ' San Joaquin, California 95201-0388 <br /> Subject Dispenser Island and Product Line Removal and Soil Assessment <br /> Sears Store 1288 <br /> 5110 Pacific Avenue <br /> Stockton, California <br />' Dear Mr Knoll <br /> Groundwater Technology, Inc , is submitting this letter report to you on behalf of Sears Merchandise <br /> Group This letter will provide you with data collected during the recent dispenser island and <br /> product line removal at this site <br /> 1' <br /> 10 INTRODUCTION <br /> Sears contracted Groundwater Technology to observe and collect soil samples during the removal <br /> of the dispenser islands, gasoline product lines, oil supply lines, and one used oil line from the Sears <br />' Automotive Center located at 5110 Pacific Avenue in Stockton, California (Figure 1) The demolition <br /> and removal of the product lines, dispenser islands, oil supply lines, and the used oil line took place <br /> between August 4 and August 12, 1994 Individual grab sod samples were collected from beneath <br /> each dispenser island and approximately every 20 feet along the line trenches The samples were <br /> collected to determine if any environmental impact was present from the operation of the former <br /> service station Samples collected beneath the product lines and dispensers were analyzed for <br /> ■ Total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH9) by EPA Method 8015 (modified), <br /> ■ Benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTEX) by EPA Method 8020, and <br /> a Total lead by EPA Method 7420 <br /> 1288GAS APT <br /> 5eara#1288 Stockton <br />' Offices throughout the US,Canada and Overseas <br />
