(`LPL") has received your August 5, 1997 <br /> correspondence concerning recent damage to monitoring well MW-8 at Lincoln Center. LPL has <br /> noted that your August 5, 1997 correspondence proposes a scope of work to repair MW-8 and <br /> requests Site access to perform the repair activities. LPL hereby grants access to Levine-Fricke- <br /> Recon ("LFR") to conduct the repair and modification activities as set forth in your August 5, <br /> 1997 correspondence. LPL has also noted that LFR will submit a proposed schedule for these <br /> activities upon receipt of the permit for the well repairs from the San Joaquin County Public <br /> Health Service Environmental Health Division. <br /> LPL has several comments with respect to the scope of work set forth in your <br /> August 5, 1997 correspondence. LPL suggests that the PVC slip coupling to be installed outside <br /> the PVC well casing should extend at least one foot beyond the top of the well casing, and should <br /> be secured with stainless steel screws.
