LEEDSNILL•NERKENNOFF, INC.
Quality Assurance -. Quality Control (QA-QC)
QA-QC is a detailed program undertaken by the laboratory to ensure the
highest degree of accuracy and reproducibility of the analytical results.
The Lincoln Village Center sample collection plan will include a program of
10 percent duplicate and spiked samples, trip blank and field blank.
TIME SCHEDULE
It is estimated that completion of the Phase I work plan will require ap-
proximately three months following approval of the plan by the RWQCB.
CONCEPTUAL REMEDIATION PLAN
A report will be prepared setting forth the results of the Phase I ground-
water investigation. The report will include documentation of site history,
evaluation of existing data, results of water analyses, methodologies used,
and conclusions of the investigation. If necessary and appropriate, the
report will also present a conceptual remediation plan, based on the conclu-
sions of the Phase I study. If it is found that additional data are re-
quired, it may be necessary to conduct a Phase II investigation prior to
finalization of the conceptual remediation plan. If found to be necessary,
the conceptual remediation plan will include a time schedule for site clean-
up.
PHASE II - GROUNDWATER INVESTIGATION
At the present time, the nature and extent of Phase II work cannot be deter-
mined. It is possible that the Phase I groundwater study will be sufficient
to accurately delineate the extent of contamination and to define the method
of site cleanup. If a Phase II investigation is required, it might include
any or all of the following:
1. further investigation into source or sources of contamination.
This could include conducting a soil vapor survey of permeable
trench backfill areas surrounding sanitary and storm drains;
-5-
