(LFR) presents this <br /> letter report summarizing activities for the period June 1, 1998 through July 31, 1998 ("the <br /> bimonthly period") at Lincoln Center, located in Stockton, California ("the Site," as defined in <br /> the "First Final Consent Decree Order, Judgment and Reference To Special Master," filed with <br /> the Court on January 19, 1996). The information in this letter report is provided pursuant to <br /> Sections IV(A)(1)(f) and IV(F) of the "Permanent Injunction Governing Investigation, Monitoring, <br /> and Testing of the Hazardous Substance Contamination at and Emanating from Lincoln Center and <br /> Order of Reference to Special Master," issued by Judge Levi of the United States District Court, <br /> Eastern District of California, and filed on August 16, 1993. <br /> Ongoing Data Collection and Field Activities <br /> The following data collection and field activities were conducted at the Site during the bimonthly <br /> period. The scope of work for these activities was discussed in advance with Lincoln Properties, <br /> Ltd.; the Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region (RWQCB); San Joaquin <br /> County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division; and the Department of Toxic <br /> Substances Control, where applicable. <br /> • Shallow and deep soil-vapor samples SV-645 and SV-646 were collected from borings located <br /> on Benjamin Holt Drive, just west of Gettysburg Place, on June 18, 1998. (Analytical results <br /> were forwarded to the RWQCB and LPL.) <br /> • A-zone monitoring wells were installed near Gettysburg Place on McClellan Way <br /> (MW-104A), Sheridan Way (MW-110A), and Cameron Way (MW-111A) from July 9 through <br /> July 16, 1998 (Figure 1). <br /> • Additional indoor air samples were collected from the former Hollywood Video space (now <br /> occupied by Aaron Brothers Art Marts) on June 5, 1998. Sample results will be used to <br /> evaluate potential health risks, if any, associated with possible exposure to certain Hazardous <br /> Substances detected in indoor air samples.
