(LFR) presents this letter report summarizing activities for the period April 1, 1998 through May 31, 1998 ("the bimonthly period") at Lincoln Center, located in Stockton, California ("the Site," as defined in the "First Final Consent Decree Order, Judgment and Reference To Special Master," filed with the Court on January 19, 1996). The information in this letter report is provided pursuant to Sections IV(A)(1)(f) and IV(F) of the "Permanent Injunction Governing Investigation, Monitoring, and Testing of the Hazardous Substance Contamination at and Emanating from Lincoln Center and Order of Reference to Special Master," issued by Judge Levi of the United States District Court, Eastern District of California, and filed on August 16, 1993. Ongoing Data Collection and Field Activities The following data collection and field activities were conducted at the Site during the bimonthly period. The scope of work for these activities was discussed in advance with Lincoln Properties, Ltd.; the Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region (RWQCB); and the Department of Toxic Substances Control, where applicable. • Quarterly fluid levels were collected from site monitoring wells on May 10, 1998. Groundwater samples were collected from site monitoring wells and selected Chevron monitoring wells on May 10 through 14, 1998. A summary of groundwater elevation data and sample analytical results will be included in the second quarter 1998 groundwater monitoring report and submitted to the RWQCB on August 15, 1998. The dedicated purge pump in well MW-011A was removed, decontaminated, and reinstalled in well MW-101A on May 11, 1998, during the quarterly sampling event (Figure 1). • Groundwater samples were collected from cone penetration testing/push-in polyvinyl chloride piezometer (CPT/PIPP) borings at four locations on Parcel 29 (Fahr Property) at Lincoln Center. This work was conducted from May 18 through 20, 1998, as part of the Plume Perimeter and Source Area Investigations (Figure 1).
