(LFR) presents this <br /> letter report summarizing activities for the period April 1, 1998 through May 31, 1998 ("the <br /> bimonthly period") at Lincoln Center, located in Stockton, California ("the Site," as defined in <br /> the "First Final Consent Decree Order, Judgment and Reference To Special Master," filed with <br /> the Court on January 19, 1996). The information in this letter report is provided pursuant to <br /> Sections IV(A)(1)(f) and IV(F) of the "Permanent Injunction Governing Investigation, Monitoring, <br /> and Testing of the Hazardous Substance Contamination at and Emanating from Lincoln Center and <br /> Order of Reference to Special Master," issued by Judge Levi of the United States District Court, <br /> Eastern District of California, and filed on August 16, 1993. <br /> Ongoing Data Collection and Field Activities <br /> The following data collection and field activities were conducted at the Site during the bimonthly <br /> period. The scope of work for these activities was discussed in advance with Lincoln Properties, <br /> Ltd.; the Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region (RWQCB); and the <br /> Department of Toxic Substances Control, where applicable. <br /> • Quarterly fluid levels were collected from site monitoring wells on May 10, 1998. <br /> Groundwater samples were collected from site monitoring wells and selected Chevron <br /> monitoring wells on May 10 through 14, 1998. A summary of groundwater elevation data and <br /> sample analytical results will be included in the second quarter 1998 groundwater monitoring <br /> report and submitted to the RWQCB on August 15, 1998. <br /> The dedicated purge pump in well MW-011A was removed, decontaminated, and reinstalled in <br /> well MW-101A on May 11, 1998, during the quarterly sampling event (Figure 1). <br /> • Groundwater samples were collected from cone penetration testing/push-in polyvinyl chloride <br /> piezometer (CPT/PIPP) borings at four locations on Parcel 29 (Fahr Property) at Lincoln <br /> Center. This work was conducted from May 18 through 20, 1998, as part of the Plume <br /> Perimeter and Source Area Investigations (Figure 1).
