Leevvine•Fricke•Recon <br /> ENGINEERS,HYDROGEOLOGISTS 8 APPLIED SCIENTISTS <br /> • Plume perimeter CPT points CPT-242 through CPT-245 were surveyed on April 6, 1998 <br /> (Figure 1). <br /> Additional indoor air samples were collected from the vacant former Hollywood Video space <br /> (now occupied by Aaron Brothers Art Marts) on April 27 and 28, 1998. Sample results will be <br /> used to evaluate potential health risks, if any, associated with possible exposure to certain <br /> Hazardous Substances detected in indoor air samples. Analytical results were forwarded to the <br /> RWQCB on April 30, 1998. <br /> • Access negotiations continued with private property owners and their tenants for permission to <br /> conduct Remedial Investigation and Interim Remedial Action (IRA) activities on nearby <br /> properties. <br /> • Phase I IRA extraction wells and piezometers were installed throughout the bimonthly period. <br /> As of June 5, 1998, all 17 extraction wells (GEW-00IA through GEW-017A) and all 16 on- <br /> site piezometers (PZ-001A through PZ-011A) were installed. <br /> • Phase I IRA groundwater extraction wells and piezometers are being developed following <br /> installation. <br /> Phase I IRA conveyance piping installation and temporary storage area (TSA) construction <br /> began on May 22, 1998, and is ongoing. <br /> Data Collection and Field Activities Anticipated for June and July 1998 <br /> The following data collection and field activities are planned at the Site during the next bimonthly <br /> period: <br /> • CPT/PIPP borings may be advanced as part of the additional Plume Perimeter Investigation. <br /> Installation and schedule depend on receipt of access to private property. <br /> • Shallow and deep soil-vapor samples were collected at Lincoln Center and near the <br /> intersection of West Benjamin Holt Drive and Gettysburg Place in June as part of the Source <br /> Area Investigation. Additional samples will be collected on Gettysburg Place in July. <br /> Soil borings will be advanced to collect soil samples at Lincoln Center in July as part of the <br /> Source Area Investigation. <br /> A-zone monitoring wells will be installed at Lincoln Center in July as part of the Source Area <br /> Investigation. <br /> A-zone monitoring wells will be installed at upgradient locations on Cameron Way, Sheridan <br /> Way, and McClellan Way and at downgradient locations on Inglewood Avenue in July as part <br /> of Plume Perimeter Investigation. <br /> Bimonthly-luw98-04I I I:SRL 2 <br />
