(LFR) <br /> presents this letter report summarizing activities for the period February 1, 1998 through March <br /> 31, 1998 ("the bimonthly period") at Lincoln Center, located in Stockton, California ("the Site," <br /> as defined in the "First Final Consent Decree Order, Judgment and Reference To Special <br /> Master," filed with the Court on January 19, 1996). The information in this letter report is <br /> provided pursuant to Sections IV(A)(1)(f) and IV(F) of the "Permanent Injunction Governing <br /> Investigation, Monitoring, and Testing of the Hazardous Substance Contamination at and <br /> Emanating from Lincoln Center and Order of Reference to Special Master," issued by Judge Levi <br /> of the United States District Court, Eastern District of California, and filed on August 16, 1993. <br /> Ongoing Data Collection and Field Activities <br /> The data collection and field activities listed below were conducted at the Site during the <br /> bimonthly period. The scope of work for these activities was previously discussed with Lincoln <br /> Properties, Ltd.; the Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region (RWQCB); <br /> and the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC), where applicable. <br /> • Quarterly fluid levels were collected from site monitoring wells on February 22, 1998. <br /> Groundwater samples were collected from site monitoring wells and selected Chevron <br /> monitoring wells during the period of February 23 through 27, and on March 1, 1998. A <br /> summary of groundwater elevation data and analytical results of these samples will be <br /> presented in the first quarter 1998 groundwater monitoring report to be submitted to the <br /> RWQCB on May 15, 1998. <br /> • Cone penetrometer testing (CPT) and push-in polyvinyl chloride piezometer (PIPP) borings for <br /> the Plume Perimeter Investigation were advanced and groundwater samples collected at <br /> upgradient locations on West Benjamin Holt Drive (Locations 1 and 5) and downgradient <br /> locations on Inglewood Avenue (Location 9) and Emeryn Street (Location 11). This work was <br /> conducted from March 16 through 20, 1998 (see Figure 1 for locations). <br /> • Additional air samples were collected from inside the vacant former Hollywood Video space at <br /> Lincoln Center on February 28, 1998.
