Geosyntec <br /> consultants <br /> Samples will be packed in ice chests containing sealed blue ice or wet ice contained in <br /> double-bagged sealable plastic bags and a completed, signed, and dated COC form. <br /> Special care will be taken to pack containers to minimize breakage. <br /> 4.2.6 Equipment Decontamination and Investigation Derived Waste <br /> Prior to boring advancement and sample collection at each location, all drilling <br /> equipment, down-hole drilling tools, and sampling devices will be cleaned thoroughly <br /> with a portable steam cleaning system supplied by the drilling subcontractor in <br /> accordance with SOP 1.0 (Appendix B). <br /> Non-dedicated equipment will be decontaminated before and after collection of each <br /> sample, or each sampling location is completed. Small and/or handheld equipment will <br /> be washed in a non-phosphate detergent and potable water, rinsed in potable water, and <br /> then double rinsed in de-ionized water. <br /> Decontamination rinsate and soil cutting wastes will be produced during the <br /> investigation. All investigative derived waste will be stored in temporary roll-off bins <br /> and analyzed for disposal purposes. Following waste characterization, the bins and <br /> wastes will be disposed at an approved off-site waste disposal facility by a licensed <br /> waste hauler. <br /> 4.2.7 Survey of Sampling Locations <br /> Each well and boring location will be surveyed following installation. Monitoring wells <br /> will be surveyed for location, ground surface elevation, and measuring point elevation <br /> in accordance with Section 3.0 of SOP 3.0 (Appendix B).
