The conveyance piping will be cut and capped <br /> below grade near the treatment system compound and at each of the SVE wells, SVE <br /> condensate removal stations, and SVE expansion box , At the AS supply will be pulled <br /> from the poly vinyl chloride (PVC) conduit and the PVC conduit will be capped within <br /> well vaults and at the treatment system compound. <br /> The conveyance piping in the south western portion of the Site between SVE-035 and <br /> SVE-034 is secured along the side and roof of the building as shown on Figure 3. This <br /> aboveground conveyance piping will be removed from the building. Where the <br /> conveyance piping enters the subsurface near SVE-035, SVMWE-002, SVMWE-001, <br /> and SVE-034, the pavement will be saw cut and the conveyance piping will be cut and <br /> capped below grade. <br /> The pavement surrounding well vaults will be saw cut and the vaults will be removed <br /> during the well destruction activities. After the wells have been destroyed (discussed in <br /> Section 3.3), the area will be repaved to match existing conditions. The pavement <br /> section is expected to include compacted subgrade, 6-inches of aggregate base rock, <br /> overlain by 4-inches of asphalt concrete. The three expansion box vaults (EB-2, 4, 5) <br /> and two condensate removal vaults (CRP-3 and CRP-5) are used by both the SVE <br /> system and the GETS. These vaults shall remain undisturbed while the GETS is in <br /> operation. <br /> Additional pavement repairs (resurfacing) will be made to portions above the <br /> conveyance pipe that have subsided and in area south of Benjamin Holt Drive were <br /> there is a high density of wells. These areas are highlighted in Figure 3. In these areas, <br /> a licensed contractor will make the necessary repairs and/or complete the repavement <br /> work. All pavement repairs will be completed to match the surface to the surrounding <br /> grade and materials in accordance with state and local building ordnances. <br /> 3.3 Well Destruction <br /> Well destruction will be conducted in accordance with SJCEHD Standards for Well <br /> Construction and Destruction in San Joaquin County dated February 2005. Prior to <br /> conducting subsurface work at the site, the well locations will be cleared for <br /> underground utilities by contacting Underground Services Alert (USA) of Northern <br /> California at least 72 hours before intrusive field activities are initiated. In addition a <br /> private utility locater will be contracted to mark private utilities located in the areas <br /> System Decommissioning and Well Destruction Work Plan 6 07/18/2014 <br />
