The following wastes require hazardous waste determination: <br /> o One unlabeled blue 55-gallon drum of unknown content in the front shop. <br /> (photo 1) <br /> Response: This is not hazardous waste. This is a drum of cleaning solvent <br /> that is used in our manufacturing operations. It is labeled with <br /> manufacturer's label <br /> o Four 5-gallon buckets of unknown oily liquid, one 5-gallon bucket of <br /> unknown labeled corrosive under the shelves at the south wall of the front <br /> shop. <br /> Response: These are not Hazardous waste. These buckets contain liquids <br /> that are used in our manufacturing processes. The buckets are labeled <br /> with manufacturer's label. <br /> o One 5-gallon bucket and three trays of unknown oily content in the back <br /> shop (photo 2), and one tray of waste oil under the lathe unit in the back <br /> shop (photo 20) <br /> Response: These small containers contained used oil and were picked up by <br /> George M Lowry, Inc., Environmental Services Division using <br /> Consolidated Manifest Invoice No. 21390 (Attached) <br /> o Three 55-gallon drums of unknown content and two 55-gallon drums of <br /> unknown oily liquid outside the back shop (photo 3,4, 5, 6, 7) <br /> Response: The sealed containers contained used oil and were picked up by <br /> George M Lowry, Inc., Environmental Services Division using <br /> Consolidated Manifest Invoice No. 21390 (Attached). <br /> The open containers had been used for holding metal chips from our <br /> machining operations. These containers were further cleaned and <br /> residual chips placed in recycling containers. <br /> o Sludge/grit from coolant wash of the Grinder in the back shop (photo <br /> 17,18) <br /> Response: This grit is accumulated on a continuous roll of filter material. The <br /> new filter media is dispensed from a feed roll and the used media is rolled <br /> up by a take up roll. The filter is periodically advanced so that new clean <br />
