Station 9172 <br /> 7647 Pacific Avenue <br /> Stockton, CA 95207 <br /> 4th Quarter 2000, Status Report <br /> Dear Mr Infurna <br /> Presented herein is the Fourth Quarter 2000, Status Report prepared for former Thrifty Oil Co <br /> (Thrifty) Station#172 located at 7647 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, California (Figure 1) Presented <br /> in this report are the results of the site monitoring and remediation system installation efforts <br /> conducted during the Fourth Quarter 2000 Thrifty has retained Earth Management Co (EMC) to <br /> conduct quarterly monitoring and sampling activities at this site <br /> Groundwater Monitoring <br /> Depth to groundwater is measured in each monitoring well quarterly Gauging data obtained from <br /> June 1991 through November 9,2000 is presented in Table 1. In general, groundwater occurs under <br /> water table conditions beneath the station at depths ranging from 30 42 feet below ground surface <br /> (bgs) in monitoring well MW-6 to 35 62 feet bgs in monitoring well MW-1 1 (Appendix A) A <br /> groundwater elevation contour map based upon November 9, 2000 data is presented as Figure 1 <br /> Groundwater flow direction beneath the site from the southwest to the southeast under a hydraulic <br /> gradient ranging from approximately 0 024 feet/foot to 0 057 feet/foot <br /> Quarterly Groundwater Sampling <br /> As part of the groundwater monitoring program, groundwater samples were obtained from <br /> monitoring wells MW-3 through MW-11, except MW-8 which was abandoned Groundwater <br /> samples were obtained by EMC and delivered in a chilled state, in an ice chest, following strict <br /> Chain-of-Custody procedures to a state certified laboratory These samples were analyzed for <br /> volatile aromatic compounds of benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX) by EPA <br /> method 8021 B,and for total petroleum hydrocarbons(TPH-g) by EPA method 8015M modified for <br /> gasoline Analyses for oxygenates by EPA method 8260B was inadvertently overlooked during this <br /> sampling event <br /> 13539 E Foster Road, Santa Fe Springs, CA 90670-0138 • (562) 923-9876 <br />
