Quarterly Report - Third Quarter 2002
• Former PACIFIC AUTO CENTER
' 25355 North Highway 99, Acampo, California
I1.0. INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr Pat Meeks of the former Pacific Auto Center,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,
Inc (AGE) has prepared this quarterly report for the property located at 25355 N Highway 99,
Acampo,California The scope of work included quarterly groundwater monitoring and preparation
' of this report The location of the site and the immediately surrounding area are illustrated on
Figure 1,structures and monitoring well locations on the site are illustrated on Figure 2 Background
information is summarized in the AGE-prepared Preliminary Sate Assessment Report, dated 07 April
1999 Data from previous ground water monitoring events is included in the tables of this report
2.0. PROCEDURES
Field activities were performed in accordance with guidelines for investigations of underground
storage tank(UST)sites and sampling ground water monitoring wells issued by the Regional Water
Quality Control Board - Central Valley Region (CVRWQCB) and by the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department(EHD), respectively
2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION
I On 09 September 2002 a Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water
p P
in the three wells relative to the tops of the well casings The ground water elevations and gradient
were determined from this data(Table 1)
After depth to ground water measurements, a minimum of three casing-water volumes was purged
from each well using new disposable plastic bailers Approximately 3 0 to 5 25 gallons of water were
removed from each well Ground water temperature,pH and conductivity were measured at regular
intervals during the purge process using a Oakton water analyzer Field data sheets are included in
Appendix A Purged water was stored on site in labeled, 55-gallon DOT-approved drums
I22 COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
A water sample was collected from each purged well using a new disposable plastic bailer Each
water sample was transferred into laboratory-supplied 40-m1 VOA vials containing 0 5 ml 18%
hydrochloric acid as a sample preservative After collection, the samples were properly labeled,
placed in a chilled container and transported under chain-of-custody to Cal Tech Environmental
Laboratories(CTEL),a California Department of Health Services-certified analytical laboratory, and
were analyzed for
Advanced GeoEnviranmental,Inc
I
