- 1
' 06 November 2002
• AGE-NC Project No 98-0540
' 32 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF WATER SAMPLES
TPH-g was detected in the ground water samples collected from MW-1 and MW-3 at concentrations
' of 140 micrograms per liter (µg/l) and 280 µg/1, respectively(Table 2)
Toluene was detected in the samples collected from well MW-1 at a concentration of 12 µg/1,
' ethylbenzene was detected in the samples from MW-1 and MW-3 at concentrations of 3 0 µg/l and
2 1 µg/1, respectively, total xylenes were detected in the samples from MW-1 and MW-3 at
concentrations of 6 2 µg/1 and 11 µg/1, respectively
' The fuel additive 1,2-DCA was detected in the samples collected from MW-1 and MW-2 at
concentrations of 11 µg/1 and 73 µg/l, respectively
' No other target analytes were detected above laboratory reporting limits in samples MW-1 through
MW-3, in addition,no target analytes were detected above laboratory reporting limits in the ground
water sample collected from the on-site domestic well Analytical results of ground water samples
are summarized on Table 2 Copies of the laboratory report (CTEL Laboratory IDs 0209-035-1
through 0209-035-4) and chain-of-custody forms are in Appendix B
' 4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
Based upon data collected from the site, AGE concludes the following
• The maximum ground water gradient was 0 005 ft/ft with a flow direction toward the east-
southeast, and was consistent with the gradient and flow direction from the last monitoring
event
• TPH-g, various BTEX compounds and 1,2-DCA were detected in ground water samples
collected from MW-1 and MW-3 The 1,2-DCA concentration detected in the samples
collected from MW-1 and MW-3 exceeded the State of California's Maximum Contaminant
Level (MCL) of 0 5 µg/1
• MTBE and other oxygenated fuel additives were not detected above laboratory reporting
limits in any of the ground water samples
• The highest concentrations of dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons were in the area(MW-1)
' or down-gradient (MW-3) of the former UST
• The lateral extent of dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted ground water has not been -
fully delineated
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
1
r
Y
