In short,
the P&A went very well. You may have to wait quite a while to see another deep well P&A,
but one never knows for sure.
Thanks for informing me of "C-57" licenses. We do not require such in the federal
program, but this remains good to know for many reasons.
I remember on the first day, pointing out to the Ford Construction's consultant and staff
that they were almost surely under some regulatory requirements under your agency. I
remember they were able to contact your agency, if not yourself. I agree that it is
unfortunate that no one from your agency could attend any of that week long P&A event.
I will provide you a cc copy of our letter for your files and documentation.
George Robin
"Margaret
Lagorio [EH] "
<MLagorio@sjcehd To
.com> George Robin/R9/USEPA/US@EPA
cc
04/24/2008 04 :46
PM Subject
RE: Victor Fine Foods Well VFF#1
P&A Rig Report
George,
Irani Engineering was able to find a C-57 licensed driller to sign the injection well
destruction permit application today. It is unfortunate that EHD did not get to observe
the destruction. I hope we communicate better in the future. I won't final the EHD
permit until I see your letter/report on the well destruction.
Margaret Lagorio, REHS
Program Coordinator Unit IV
600 E.
