22 February 2007 <br /> AGE-NC Project No. 02-0913 <br /> Page 2 of 4 <br /> OWNERSHIP/SERVICE STATION USE TIME-LINE <br /> The following is a brief history of the facility regarding the use as a service station. <br /> • 21 June 1957(Title Report): The property was deeded by Hugh M. and Aileen M.Donovan <br /> to Ralph B. and Helen E. Pahlmeyer. <br /> • 12 July 1957 (Recorder): A lease was recorded between The Texas Company/Texaco and <br /> Ralph B. and Helen E. Pahlmeyer dated 12 December 1956 and recorded 12 July 1957 in <br /> Book 1986,Page 219, Official Records, San Joaquin County. This lease was for a"tract of <br /> land, with the improvements thereon"; the page top notes "Nr Stockton Cal Hwy 99 and <br /> Clark". <br /> This lease was referenced in a 26 February 1973 deed between Ralph B. and Helen E. <br /> Pahlmeyer and Lee C. and Cordia Ruth Pilkington for the adjacent property; the 1973 sale <br /> specifically excepted the portion described as a lease to The Texas Company recorded 12 <br /> July 1957. <br /> • 1957 (Assessor): Service Station Record 91. The Construction Record noted that a <br /> foundation building permit(#1625 8)was issued for a service station.The name at the top of <br /> the page was Pahlmeyer R&H with a notation showing J &B Texaco. <br /> • May 1958(Assessor,first assessment record):Service Station Record#1. The property,listed <br /> as"Clarkadota Fig#4,3978(covered by label)",was assessed as an operating service station <br /> with general improvements, a sign, a main building, canopy, two 23 by 4 foot islands and <br /> four pumps, two air compressors and four underground storage tanks (USTs), one 6,300- <br /> gallon,two 3,987-gallon and one 550-gallon(probably waste oil).The sheet showed a large <br /> "X" drawn through the original 1958 data column. <br /> • 30 December 1968 (Assessor): Service Station Record#2. The property,not listed with an <br /> address, was assessed as an operating service station with two air compressors and four <br /> underground storage tanks (USTs),one 6,300-gallon,two 3,987-gallon and one 550-gallon <br /> (probably waste oil); the main buildings were assessed in 1969. The name at the top of the <br /> page was Texas Co-Texaco with a notation showing P.P. Texaco Inc.and#58808;the P.P. <br /> denotes personal property. The sheet showed the assessed items lined through. <br /> • 30 December 1968(Assessor):Service Station Record 41 Remarks. Recomputed.Notes they <br /> spoke to Mr. Smith, the station operator; the owner perhaps lived in San Francisco. Also. <br /> noted that a portion.of another property(177c)was assessed with the subject property as in <br /> the past. <br /> • 1969(Assessor):Service Station Record#1.
