10/05/98 14ON 11 50 FAX 925 363 7275 TERRA VAC NOR CAL lih 003 Task 3-Remedial System Installation & Startup $110,410 This task involves all aspects of the s_ystern installation, including the drilling and construction of eight addtional wells, piping, equipment mobilization, approximately 650 feet of trenching, and one week of startup activities Subtask 3 1- Drilling 31x,290 Eight additional two-inch wells will be installed to a depth of approximately 60 feet Ptioi to drilling, USA and an underground locator service will be called to "clear" the well locations A I erra Vac geologist will oversee drilling, logging lithology fiorri samples taken every five feet It is assumed that dire to the number of samples taken durino previow, site inve,,figatious that only one soil sample from each well will be analyzed for TPH-g and BTEX The CAP designates well construction -%xgth a 318 inch line; through a packer to provide spaiging into the groundwater Terra Vac usually constructs dual casings in the same borehole for this purpose, which would eliminate flow restriction and back pressure caused by use of the small line Subtask 3 2- Comsti uction $ 60,420 This task includes all related consti uetion costs piping, trenching, electrical, security fence, setting of well vaults, and instrumentation It is assumed all work will occur during noimal business hours Based on the drawings provided, approximately 650 feet of tienching will be required for the system as depicted in the CAP It is assumed that existing well vaults are adequate and new vaults are required for new wells only Teria Vac normally offsets the well from the center of the vault to allow instrumentation for flow readings, features not apparent in the current design Subtask 3 3- Equipment Mobilization $ 5,400 Terra Vac will mobilize to the site a Retox 600 regenerative oxidizer, owned by Terra Vac and leased to the project This is a trailer amounted unit with a knockout pot, equipped 4�ith a positive displacement blower capable of 300 to 400 sefm at 15" Hg, with a 97 percent hydrocarbon destruction efficiency The trailer will require a larger space than desigaatcd and a �s assumed that riiere is no overhear restriction In addition, the sparge blower/compressor will be mobilized and located adjacent to the Retox trailer Costs for a security fence are included under construction
