California <br /> Sierra-Pacific Project No.95-128.02 <br /> 12.0 SITE SAFETY MEETING i <br /> J <br /> Field work each day shall begin with a project-specific site safety meeting led by the SSO. The <br /> objective of the meeting is to: <br /> • Ensure that the health and safety of all employees and the public is maintained; <br /> • ,. Safeguard the health and safety of all employees and the public by complying with <br /> all laws, rules, and regulations; <br /> • Increase the ability of employees to react responsibly to emergencies and to <br /> handle emergency situations in a safe manner; and <br /> • Increase the ability of employees to complete their work in an efficient and timely <br /> manner. <br /> Safety meetings shall be held more frequently if conditions warrant or at the Project Manager's <br /> discretion. Field personnel from Sierra-Pacific and its subcontractors shall attend the meeting <br /> to be briefed on the provisions of this site H&SP, to review the project tasks and to discuss an <br /> safety issues or questions. This meeting is not designed to preclude health and safety <br /> requirements as specified in OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120. All personnel working on this project <br /> shall have attended 40 hours of health and safety training, or other combinations of training and <br /> on-site experience deemed equivalent by the SSO. J <br /> In addition, fit-testing of respiratory protective devices may be conducted <br /> as part of the safety <br /> orientation meeting when the use of a respirator may be required.
