These individuals should be appointed as alternates for the <br /> SSO if he is incapacitated or needs assistance. Specific responsibilities for these individuals <br /> Cshall be delineated by the SSO. The SSO should consider the familiarity of these individuals <br /> with the following topics: <br /> • Principles of first aid; <br /> r • Restoration of breathing/CPR; <br /> L • Control of bleeding; <br /> • Recognition and treatment of physical shock; <br /> • Open and closed wounds and bums; and <br /> • Fractures and dislocations. f <br /> - I <br /> Thefollowing first aidequipment W <br /> g q pment is available onsite: first aid kit, fire extin>misher emergency <br /> r eye wash. If personnel are exposed to hazardous materials on site, typical responses should f <br /> include the following: <br /> • For skin or eye contact, wash and rinse affected area(s) thoroughly with copious j <br /> amounts of soap and water, then provide appropriate medical attention.
