Initiate extinguisher <br /> use if appropriate. Immediately call the Fire Department at 911. <br /> 14.8 Guidelines J <br /> If any emergency involving actual or suspected personal injury occurs, the SSO shall follow <br /> 1 <br /> these steps: <br /> • Remove the exposed or injured person(s) from immediate danger. 1 <br /> • Render first aid if necessary. Decontaminate affected personnel. J <br /> • Obtain paramedic service or ambulance transport to local hospital. <br /> • Other personnel on site shall be evacuated to a safe distance until the SSO <br /> .,determines that it is safe for work to resume. J <br /> • At the earliest time practicable, the SSO shall contact the Project Manager or his <br /> designee giving details of the incident, and the steps taken to prevent its <br /> recurrence. ' <br /> J <br /> • A written report of the incident must be forwarded to the Project Manager, or <br /> his designee, within 24 hours following the incident. 1 <br /> Subsequent reporting shall be completed according to Client and Sierra-Pacific reporting , <br /> requirements. If emergency releases or accidents such as fires, explosions, or property damage J <br /> occur, the OSS responsible for Health and Safety at Sierra-Pacific must be notified immediately. <br /> If necessary, local fire or response agencies should be called, then Client should be advised as J <br /> soon as time permits. <br /> J <br /> Sierra-Pacific Groundwater Consultants, Inc. <br /> 34 J <br /> I <br />
