../ <br /> MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM -3- <br /> CITY OF STOCKTON <br /> REGIONAL WATER QUALITY CONTROL PLANT <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> RECEIVING WATER MONITORING <br /> All receiving water samples shall be grab samples, collected at mid-depth, in the mid-stream of the <br /> river. Receiving water sampling may be postponed or eliminated if hazardous water conditions <br /> prevent safe access to the sampling locations. Receiving water monitoring shall include at least the <br /> following: <br /> Station Description <br /> R-1 San Joaquin River @ Bowman Road, 8.0 miles south of discharge <br /> R-2 San Joaquin River @ Highway 4, 0.5 miles south of discharge <br /> R-3 San Joaquin River @ Deep Water Channel, 2.0 miles north of discharge <br /> R-4 Light 45, 2.5 miles north of discharge <br /> R-5 Light 41, 3.5 miles north of discharge <br /> R-6 Light 36, 5.0 miles north of discharge <br /> R-7 Light 24, 7.3 miles north of discharge <br /> R-8 Light 18, 9.0 miles north of discharge <br /> Sampling <br /> Constituents Uaiu Station Frequency <br /> Dissolved Oxygen mg/l R-1 thru R-8 <br /> pH Number R-1 thru R-8 <br /> Turbidity NTU R-1 thru R-8 <br /> Temperature OF R-1 thru R-8 <br /> Electrical Conductivity @25°C µmhos/cm R-1 thru R-8 <br /> Ammonia mg/l R-1 thru R-8 <br /> Un-ionized Ammonia as N (calculated) mg/l R-1 thru R-8 <br /> Hardness mg/l R-1 thru R-8 Monthly' <br /> Alkalinity mg/l R-1 thru R-8 Monthly' <br /> During the portionof the year from 1 June through 30 November or when dissolved oxygen is less than 5 mg/1, <br /> Stations R-1 through R-8 shall be sampled weekly at low slack tide, when practical (between 8:00 and 11:00 <br /> a.m. for dissolved oxygen and temperature) . During the portion of the year from l December through 31 May, <br /> receiving water Stations R-2 through R-5 shall be monitored at least monthly at low slack tide, when practical <br /> (between 8:00 and 11:00 a.m. for dissolved oxygen and temperature). <br /> Temperature and pH shall be determined at the time of sample collection for the calculation of Un-ionized <br /> Ammonia. Report as both total and unionized ammonia. <br />
