MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM -3- <br /> CITY OF STOCKTON <br /> MAIN WATER QUALITY CONTROL PLANT <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> Constituent Units Station Sampling Frequency <br /> pH Number R-1 through R-8 (1) <br /> Turbidity Turbidity R-1 through R-8 (1) <br /> Units <br /> Temperature 'C & OF R-1 through R-8 (1) <br /> Total Dissolved Solids(2) mg/l R-1 through R-8 (1) <br /> Effluent Dilution ratio Outfall 7 days/week <br /> (estimated)(3) <br /> Total Nitrogen mg/l R-1 through R-8 (1) <br /> (1) During the portion of the year from 1 July through 30 November or when <br /> Dissolved Oxygen is less than 5 mg/1 , Stations R-1 through R-8 shall be <br /> sampled seven days per week at low slack tide, when practical , between 8:00 <br /> a.m. and 11:00 a.m. for Dissolved Oxygen and Temperature. During the <br /> portion of the year from 30 November through 1 July, receiving water <br /> Stations R-2 through R-5 shall be monitored at least once per week, unless <br /> hazardous water conditions prevent safe access to the sampling locations. <br /> (2) Specific conductivity may be used if the Board receives, and approves of, <br /> data establishing positive correlation between TDS and EC. <br /> (3) The estimation technique must be approved by the Regional Board. <br /> In conducting the receiving water sampling, a log shall be kept of the receiving <br /> water conditions throughout the reach bounded by Stations R-1 and R-8. Atten- <br /> tion shall be given to the presence or absence of: <br /> a. Floating or suspended matter (including oils) <br /> b. Discoloration <br /> C. Bottom deposits <br /> d. Aquatic life <br /> Notes on receiving water conditions shall be summarized in the monitoring <br /> report. <br /> INFLUENT MONITORING <br /> A sampling station shall be established and located where representative samples <br /> of the influent can be obtained. The following shall constitute the influent <br /> monitoring program: <br />
