ACL-003 <br /> Pursuant to discussions with Antonia Vorster and Dan Ward of your <br /> start on July 30 , 1985 , the tollowing information is provided to <br /> advise you of corrective actions taken by the City of Stockton <br /> with regard to the compliance problems occurring in June 1985 as <br /> outlined in Administrative Civil Liability Complaint No. ACL-003: <br /> 1 . Additional sulfonation equipment that will double current <br /> dechlorination capacity has been ordered and is scheduled to be <br /> shipped in September 1985 . The consulting firm of CHEM Hill is <br /> assisting with the detailed design and installation inspection. <br /> The new equipment installation will include a fully automatic <br /> control system to assure that adequate dechlorination occurs . <br /> 2 . The consulting rirm of Brown and Caldwell is currently <br /> studying the disinfection problem in order to determine the cause <br /> and to develop an appropriate action plan to eliminate any such <br /> problems in the tuture. <br /> 3. On June 21-22 , 1985 the City did not discharge. On June 23 <br /> sodium hydroxide was brought to the tertiary plant and temporary <br /> upward pH adjustment capability was established and was placed in <br /> service . <br /> 4 . The City staff is studying permanent upward pH adjustment <br /> process alternatives and plans on recommending permanent <br /> facilities in next year' s Capital Improvement Program budget. <br /> p � <br />
