DATE: <br /> Provisions for issuing SPECIAL PERMITS for well construction are <br /> contained in San Joaquin County Ordinance Code Sect. 5-4105 and <br /> page 2 , paragraph I, D of the associated Rules and Regulations. <br /> SPECIAL PERMITS shall be reviewed on an individual basis and <br /> evaluated according to the following criteria: <br /> 1. The well construction shall not be detrimental to the <br /> public health or safety. <br /> 2 . The well construction shall be for a limited period of <br /> time. A maximum time period may be specified by the <br /> Public Health Services San Joaquin County, Environmental <br /> Health Division. <br /> 3 . Minimum isolation distances from potential sources of <br /> contamination shall be maintained unless precautionary <br /> measures are implemented to ensure against contamination. <br /> 4 . SPECIAL PERMITS shall be identified with a special stamp <br /> in bold letters and all conditions shall be identified <br /> on the permit. <br /> 5 . SPECIAL PERMITS shall be periodically reviewed for <br /> compliance with conditions until the well is taken out <br /> of service and properly destroyed. <br /> 6. Wells constructed under SPECIAL PERMITS shall be <br /> destroyed under permit and inspection by the PHS/SJC/EHD. <br /> A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services 0 <br />
