Page 2 <br /> SPECIAL WELL PERMITS: <br /> CONDITIONS FOR ISSUANCE <br /> Pursuant to San Joaquin County Ordinance Code Sect. 5-1405, SPECIAL <br /> PERMITS for well construction which do not meet the requirements <br /> of Division 4 , Title 5 of the San Joaquin County Ordinance Code <br /> and/or the associated Rules and Regulations, may be granted for <br /> limited periods of time. <br /> A. SPECIAL PERMIT request to allow construction of monitoring <br /> wells which are located less than the required isolation <br /> distances from potential sources of bacterial and/or chemical <br /> contamination as specified in the Rules and Regulations for <br /> San Joaquin County Ordinance #1862 . * <br /> REASON FOR REQUEST <br /> 1. Septic Leach Line--less than 50 ft. and/or Leach Sump/Seepage <br /> Pit--less than 100 ft. <br /> a. In order to mitigate the potential source of bacterial <br /> contamination, the septic tank shall be pumped out and <br /> the sewage disposal field disconnected from the septic <br /> tank under liquid waste permit and inspection by the <br /> Public Health Services San Joaquin County, Environmental <br /> Health Division (PHS/SJC/EHD) . <br /> AND <br /> b. The septic tank may be used as a liquid waste holding <br /> tank, provided copies of septic tank pumping receipts <br /> are submitted to the (PHS/SJC/EHD) on a monthly basis. <br /> OR <br /> C. Chemical toilets may be used in place of the septic <br /> system for sewage disposal and no other liquid waste <br /> requiring subsurface disposal is generated by the <br /> facility. <br /> * In addition to respective city ordinance codes. <br />
