(Gettler-Ryan),to describe groundwater monitoring performed at the subject site on February
12, 1996.
In February, Gettler-Ryan gauged and sampled all six wells. All groundwater samples were analyzed for
the presence of TPHGas and BTEX constituents. The measured direction of groundwater flow was
southeasterly. Detections of TPHGas were reported at all wells. However, the reported detections were
based on the presence of discrete peaks within the C7-C8 range. It is suspected that these discrete peaks
are associated with chlorinated compounds that are known to exist in groundwater beneath the subject
site. The thought that the TPHGas detections are not related to motor fuels is supported by the absence of
any detectable concentrations of BTEX constituents. The lack of any BTEX in groundwater also suggests
that there are no remaining sources of groundwater contamination beneath the site.
If you have any questions or comments,I can be reached at(510)842-8695.
Sincerely,
Brett L.
