SIERRA
Ground water samples were collected from the wells on Septcmt.er 5, 1990 in accordance
with SES standard operating procedure for water sampling(Appendix C).
The ground water samples from the wells were analyzed for TPPH(G).BTEC, EDS and Pb
by EPA Methods 8015, 602. 504 and 7420, respectively. The ground water sample from well
MW-5 was also analyzed for other VOCs by EPA Method 8240,700 by Standard Methods Method
503E,and metals(Cd, Cr,Ni and Zn)by EPA Methods 9130,7190, 7520 and 7950. The ground
,f water sample from well MV-4 was also analyzed for coliform bacteria by Standard Methods
Method 908A. The coliform test was required by the San Joaquin County Health Department
because of the well's close proximity to a sanitary sewer line.
i
4.SURVEYING AND GROUND WATER GRADIENT
The top of casing elevations of the ,lis were surveyed by Ron Miller, Licensed land
Surveyor,CEa 15816 on August I4, 1990. The casing elevations were surveyed relativr,to mean
k
- sea level using a USGS benchmark located at Benjamin Holt Drive and the east curb line of Pacific
Avenue,
Water levels were measured in the wells on September 5, 1990 and the wells were checked
for the presence of free phase hydrocarbons using a MMC flcxi-dip interface probe. Free phase
hydrocarbons wee not detected in any o:the wells. The ground water g;adient beneath the site
is to the southeast(Figure 4,Appendix A). Water level data is shown in Table 2 (Appendix 13).
,f
J
sp
8.ANALYTIC:RMULTS
SII
All of the sod and ground water samples were analyzed by Superior Azaalytical l.sboral ory J
r of Martinez, California.
