During the August 2011 groundwater monitoring event,groundwater depths ranged from 22 to 24 ft bgs. 3.0 PROPOSED SCOPE OF WORK CRA proposes to .destroy 20 groundwater monitoring wells (MW-1 through MW-20), extraction well (EW-1), and air sparge well (AS-1). To complete this work, CRA will perform the tasks presented below. lY X �5 3.1 PERMITS CRA will obtain well destruction permits from.the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department prior to beginning field operations. 3.2 HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN (HASP) CRA will prepare a site-specific health and safety plan to protect site workers. The plan will be kept onsite at all times and signed by site workers on each day of work. 3.3 UTILITY CLEARANCE The area around the monitoring, extraction, and air sparge wells will be pre-marked with white paint and Underground Service.Alert (USA) will be notified of the well destruction activities at least 72 hours before work begins. A private utility locator may be used to identify subsurface utilities or product piping near select well locations. 3.4 MONITORING WELL DESTRUCTION San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department allows wells with little to no hydrocarbon impact to be destroyed by pressure grouting method. CRA reviewed the historical soil and recent groundwater sample results for all the wells.
