The above techniques are in addition to the standard site <br /> assessment techniques , which include: <br /> a. Inventory and sampling and analysis of materials or wastes; <br /> b. Sampling and analysis of surface water; <br /> c. Sampling and analysis of sediment and aquatic biota; <br /> d. Sampling and analysis of ground water; <br /> e. Sampling and analysis of soil and soil pore moisture; <br /> f. Hydrogeologic investigation; <br /> E . Ensure that the discharger is aware of and considers the following <br /> cleanup and abatement methods or combinations thereof, to the extent <br /> that they may be applicable to the discharge or threat thereof: <br /> 1 . Source removal and/or isolation; <br /> 2. in-place treatment of soil or water: <br /> a. Bioremediation; <br /> b. Aeration; <br /> c. Fixation; <br /> 3. Excavation or extraction of soil , water, or gas for on-site or <br /> off-site treatment by the following techniques: <br /> a. Bioremediation; <br /> b. Thermal destruction; <br /> c. Aeration; <br /> d. Sorption; <br /> e. Precipitation , flocculation, and sedimentation; <br /> f. Filtration; <br /> g. Fixation; <br />
