. j. Chief, Environmental Protection Office <br /> The Chief, Environmental Protection Office, will notify higher <br /> headquarters of any spill which is within the reportable category. He will <br /> request assistance from other agencies when deemed necessary by the IOSC and <br /> will provide all reporting to regulatory agencies when necessary. <br /> k. Chief, Emergency Operation Center <br /> The Chief, Emergency Operation Center (CEOC) will respond to the <br /> scene, as necessary and in the capacity of the depot' s Disaster Preparedness <br /> Officer, to assist in the determination as whether to activate the depot's <br /> Emergency Operations Center (EOC). If recommended by the IOSC, CEOC will <br /> recommend to the facility Commander that it be activated and staffed <br /> accordingly. <br /> 1 . Personnel <br /> DDRW-Sharpe Facility personnel will be utilized to the maximum <br /> practical extent. <br /> D. Spills <br /> This subsection describes the actions that shall be taken during a <br /> material spill at the Sharpe Facility. The Fire Protection Division' s <br /> . Hazardous Materials Response Plan appears as Annex A. <br /> 1. Hazardous Material Spills <br /> The following details the events which should follow a spill of <br /> hazardous materials. <br /> a. In the event of a hazardous materials spill , all personnel will <br /> clear the area and call the depot Fire Department, *911. The following must <br /> be provided to the fire dispatcher. <br /> o EXACT location of the spill . <br /> o Type of material spilled, if known. <br /> o Estimated amount of material spilled. <br /> o Rate of flow of materials. <br /> o Any personnel in danger or injured. <br /> o Direction of flow and wind if known. <br /> II-7 <br /> (8/3/92) <br />
