SUBSTANTIVE <br /> WASTE DISCHARGE REQUIREMENTS <br /> DEFENSE DISTRIBUTION REGION WEST, <br /> SHARPE <br /> 21 MAY 1992 <br /> The United States Defense Logistics Agency, Defense Distribution Region West (DDRW), <br /> Sharpe, hereafter referred to as Discharger, in order to meet the provisions contained in Division 7 <br /> of the California Water Code and regulations adopted thereunder, shall comply with the following: <br /> A. Discharge Prohibitions: <br /> 1. Discharge of wastes to surface waters or surface water drainage courses is prohibited. <br /> 2. Bypass or overflow of untreated or partially treated waste is prohibited. <br /> 3. Discharge of waste classified as 'hazardous'or'designated', as defined in Sections <br /> 2521(a) and 2522(a) of Chapter 15, is prohibited. <br /> 4. Discharge shall only occur to approved injection wells. <br /> 5. Discharge in violation of State Board Resolution 68-16 is prohibited. <br /> B. Effluent Limitations: <br /> 1. The discharge of effluent in excess of the following limits is prohibited: <br /> Maximum Monthly <br /> Daily Average <br /> Compound Units Concentrationl Concentration <br /> Tetrachlorethylene µg/1 1.0 0.5 <br /> 1,1,1-Trichloroethane µg/1 1.0 0.5 <br /> Trichloroethylene µg/1 1.0 0.5 <br /> 1,1-Dichloroethylene µg/1 1.0 0.5 <br /> 1,1-Dichloroethane µg/l 1.0 0.5 <br /> Total Volatile <br /> Organic Compounds2 µg/1 2.0 1.0 <br /> 2. The treated ground water shall not be more than 0.5 pH units above or below the <br /> normal ambient pH of the receiving ground water. <br /> CEPA Method 502.1 with a detection Limit of 0.1 µg/1 or less. /f the Daily Maximum is exceeded an <br /> additional sample(s) will have to be collected and analyzed within the same month, to demonstrate that the <br /> monthly average has not been exceeded. <br /> 2 Total VOCs will be the sum of all EPA Method 502.1 analysis constituents above 0.1 gg/l <br /> concentration <br />
