WASTE DISCHARGE REQUIREMENTS - 6 - <br /> DEFENSE <br /> 6 -DEFENSE DISTRIBUTION REGION WEST SHARPE <br /> INTERIM GROUND WATER CLEANUP SYSTEM <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> 2. The by-pass or overflow of wastes is prohibited, except as allowed by Standard Provision A.13. <br /> [See attached `Standard Provisions and Reporting Requirements for Waste Discharge <br /> Requirements (NPDES)']. <br /> 3. The discharge to surface waters of wastewater, other than those regulated under this or another <br /> NPDES permit is prohibited. Specifically, wastewater from dewatering construction activities <br /> are not regulated under this permit. <br /> B. Effluent Limitations: <br /> 1. Effluent from the existing ground water cleanup activities, shall not exceed the following limits: <br /> Monthly Weekly Daily <br /> Constituents UniLs Mei Averaee Maximum <br /> Arsenic 4g/1 40 50 <br /> Chromium 49/1 11 <br /> (Hexavalent) <br /> Lead µg/1 3.2 <br /> Mercury µg/1 0.012 <br /> Volatile Organics 4g/1 <0.5 1.0 <br /> 602.2 method <br /> Total Petroleum µg/1 < 50 100 <br /> Hydrocarbons <br /> (3050 GCFID) <br /> 2. The discharge shall not have a pH less than 6.5 nor greater than 8.5. <br /> 3. The average discharge flow shall not exceed 1.152 mgd. <br /> 4. Survival of aquatic organisms in 96-hour bioassays of undiluted waste shall be no less than: <br /> Minimum for any one bioassay . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 70% <br /> Median for any three or more consecutive bioassays . . . . . . . . . . 90% <br />
