NFA Sites • _3_
DDRW, Sharpe 29 October 1993
CATEGORY III SITES
The sites listed in Category III, Table 1, are those that have been identified to be contaminated and
will be mitigated through currently proposed remedial action.
The Board has attempted to categorize all sites based on the information presented in previous
Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study (RI/FS) reports. In some cases very little information is
available and what is available is scattered in several different documents and therefore, is difficult
to interpret on a site specific basis. We have, however, provided in Table I an preliminary listing
of sites in the categories described above. This list is not final and is subject to revision based on a
thorough review of the available information to be conducted at the 9 and 10 November RPM
meeting. In cases where there is inadequate information to evaluate a site, additional field data may
be necessary.
The purpose of the 9 and 10 November RPM meeting is to clarify and address agency concerns
which are outstanding and to refine and reach consensus on the sites listed in Table 1. All available
data will be needed at the 9 and 10 November RPM meeting, including: Aerial photographs,
historical and recent ground water monitoring data, previous reports, ground water contour maps,
building location maps, etc.
If you have any questio , please call me at (916) 255-3065.
JES TAYLOR
A socia
tee Engineering Geologist
JDT:jt
Enclosure
cc: Ms. Catherine Johnson, U.
