Ripon Unified School District <br /> Discharge Drainage Control 40 CFR 112.7(a)(3)(iii) <br /> The aboveground oil storage tanks are securely located on and in concrete. All fuel oil <br /> product fuel steel storage tank is constructed of concrete and steel and are securely contained on <br /> steel mounts on a concrete containment pad in normal operating conditions.Any spill or discharge <br /> that may occur from the fuel storage tank or it's associated plumbing will be confined to the <br /> containment area. The containment area employs no drainage valves and all liquids can be <br /> controlled.Any and all liquids retained within the containment system can be contained,controlled <br /> and mitigated within the containment area.No liquid shall be evacuated without verification of an <br /> oil sheen is performed and management approval. No spill or release is capable of reaching <br /> navigable water ways. <br /> Any compromise or leak from the fuel oil product tank will be contained within the facility. <br /> Only compromise of the delivery vehicle or an overfill event could result in a liquid discharge of <br /> oil products beyond the controls. Fuel is carefully dispensed and all small spills and discharges are <br /> carefully addressed. <br /> 92 Diesel and Gasoline fuels are loaded into the tanks through a direct fill. Any discharge <br /> from the delivery hose during or after refueling can be captured inside the fill containment <br /> structures. No spill or release is capable of reaching navigable water ways and any release can be <br /> addressed and contained. <br /> Bus refueling and fuel oil product transfers are conducted south of the main buildings.Any <br /> spill or discharge will be contained on the area and small spills will be controlled, mitigated and <br /> cleaned-up. No spill or release is capable of reaching navigable water ways with the current <br /> containment system that Ripon Unified School District uses. <br /> All oil product users are trained and have awareness of the proper materials to stop and <br /> mitigate a discharge or spill. Any discharge, release or spill will be monitored by Ripon Unified <br /> School District's management to ensure that safety is addressed and that all waste is contained, <br /> transported and disposed of in a proper manner.No spill or release is capable of reaching navigable <br /> water ways with the current usage in Ripon Unified School District system. <br /> All oil products in 5 gallon buckets that may be located at the site are secured,temporary <br /> and inventoried. There is no public access to the#2 Diesel and Gasoline storage areas. In the event <br /> of a spill the#2 Diesel and Gasoline would be contained on site and no water areas will be effected. <br /> Trained personnel would be able to confine and prevent the discharge from exiting the area. Any <br /> discharge or spill will be monitored by Ripon Unified School District's management to ensure that <br /> safety is addressed and that all waste is contained,transported and disposed of in a proper manner. <br /> 17 <br />
