Ripon Unified School District <br /> Delivery procedures into the fuel tanks are established. Only drivers that are trained for unloading <br /> are authorized to make deliveries into Ripon Unified School District site fuel oil product tank. <br /> Prior to delivering fuel to the site, personnel shall either notify management, who shall confirm <br /> the types and amounts of fuel to be delivered to each oil products storage tank, and/or check the <br /> site levels on the tank to assure sufficient space for the load to be delivered. <br /> The facility uses a manual stick gauge and site level gauge system to identify the fluid level <br /> of the aboveground tank in feet and inches. Delivery personnel shall check the tank to ensure that <br /> their fuel delivery will sufficiently fill the oil product container and not exceed 90%of the tank's <br /> capacity. <br /> Warning signs are posted at the facility alerting drivers to ensure that all connections are <br /> completely disconnected and secured prior from departing the facility. The driver will examine <br /> the valves, hoses, connections, fittings and lowermost drain and outlets of the vehicle for leakage <br /> prior to loading,unloading or departure. <br /> g) Visual Tank Gauge System Inspection <br /> The facility uses a visual gauging systems to indicate the height of the liquid level in fuel <br /> tanks and the oil product tanks. Height is measured in feet and inches. Ripon Unified School <br /> District will visually inspect the system monthly and verify that the measuring system is present, <br /> in good working order and functional and that the visual measurement is reading the measured fuel <br /> levels correctly. <br /> h) Inspection of storage tank area for leaks or stains <br /> Monthly inspections of the facility's oil product storage area and fuel tank will be <br /> performed and recorded on the SPCC facility inspection checklist.In the event that stains or leaks <br /> are noted; corrective action will be taken to prevent or minimize the findings. All repairs will be <br /> completed, as needed, and documented. The facility inspection checklist and repair log is retained <br /> in Appendix B and C. <br /> 16 <br />
