The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been <br />addressed for SUVIK FARMS LLC FRENCH CAMP SHOP as of February24, 2020. <br />Open violations from October 17, 2019 inspection <br />Violation #301 - Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br />OBSERVATION Stained soil was observed near the waste oil tank and by the diesel tanks. Leaking of what appeare <br />to be used oil was observed from a 55 gallon drum storing used oil filters. The leaking drum was punctured at the <br />bottom and dark staining was observed on the soil. The stained soil near the diesel tanks was said to have been a <br />diesel overfill while refueling machinery. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: A hazardous waste generator must maintain and operate its facility to minimize the <br />possibility of a fire, explosion, or any unplanned sudden or non -sudden release of hazardous waste or hazardous <br />waste constituents to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately address leaks and remove and properly dispose of stained soil. Manage the <br />waste according to Title 22 California Code of Regulations for hazardous waste. Submit a statement and supporting <br />documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department describing the storage and final <br />disposition of the cleaned up waste. <br />This violation was corrected ❑ This violation will be corrected by (date): <br />Supporting documents included <br />Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: �`�/'� r ( tn.9a5 Y_eh_70111e� ' �� <br />Violation #401 - Failed to store hazardous waste in a container that is in good condition. <br />OBSERVATION: Hazardous waste was found stored on-site in containers that are not in good condition. Used oil <br />filters were stored in a punctured 55 gallon steel drum. The drum was punctured at the bottom and what appeared to <br />be used oil escaped the container. It was stated that his container was left behind by the previous owner. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: Hazardous waste shall be stored in containers that are in good condition. If a container <br />holding hazardous waste is not in good condition (e.g., severe rusting, apparent structural defects), or if it begins to <br />leak, the owner or operator shall transfer the hazardous waste from this container to a container that is in good <br />condition, or manage the waste in some other way that complies with the hazardous waste requirements. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately transfer all hazardous wastes into containers that are in good condition.
